Ashanti and Caroline Getz are from the “Southside”

Anyway, I have to admit Ashanti’s music is a guilty pleasure of mine. I know a lot of people are going to tell me she can’t sing. Who cares. This girl was putting out those hits. I first really became a fan of hers when she was featured in the track “What’s Luv?” by Fat Joe. In the video, the dancers were wearing Vince Carter jerseys.
One of my favourite songs by her is “Southside”, a duet featuring Lloyd. This is a classic example of early post 90s R&B. Caroline Getz does an amazing job covering this song. My favourite part is from the 2:44 mark on.
