Just had to say, Common’s album BE, is one of the best hip-hop albums ever created. It’s definitely in my top 5 hip-hop albums of all time (yes, I even put it ahead of Like Water For Chocolate.)

Pete Rock, Bilal, and Slum Village “Fall in Love”
I guess I’m on a serious J Dilla tip. But, man this cover is good. It’s actually not really a cover. It’s more of a rendition of Slum Village’s “Fall in Love”. Bilal and Pete Rock do their best to pay tribute to one of the greatest producers of all time. I love the jazzy flow on this track. I wish Toronto could attract artists to come together like this and put on a great show. I can only imagine if I was there. These french people don’t even look like they’re having fun.
